My Eco-Friendly Home
If I had my own home, I would make sure that it was very energy efficient. Some of my electricity would come from solar energy, harnessed by solar panels on the roof of my house. I might also have a water turbine if my house was located near a source of running water. It can be difficult to find a perfect location that is close to my school and has all of the other accommodations that I seek to have, but I would try very hard to find a home that is within biking distance, with or without the use of public transportation to get me part of the way there. I would have a home garden at my house, either in the yard or on the roof next to the solar panels if I did not have a yard. Most of my produce would come from this source, and I would shop at local markets and exchange with my neighbors for the other things I need. I would never buy plastic water bottles, because their convenience would tempt me to grab one instead of filling up a reusable water bottle.
