In my family, our consumption of carbon is less the average. However we don't are ecological, thus we can be more. We already have lights bulbs  CFL, we have dual flush toilets and we compost our peelings. But we never eat vegetarian because we eat many meats and we never think to unplug our appliances.
I think we do not pollute enormously in my family.

You sound like you are doing quite a lot for the environment. It helps to balance out the other people who are polluting much more. I hope that I could be able to get my carbon footprint much lower than the average as well.

Good job! It is good that you are below average. Keep up the good work. If you wanted to lower your footprint I would advise to eat less meats and more vegetables.

Keep up the good work!  My family is similar... We try to reduce our waste or reuse what we can.  I'm glad that CFL lightbulbs and other eco-friendly appliances are becoming mainstream!

I also do not unplug my appliances, my phone charger is plugged in my wall all day even though I only charge my phone at night! Another thing we have in common is that we eat a small amount of vegetables too, but my mom has a garden.

I agree with you, I don't unplug my laptop/phone charger, just like you don't unplug your appliances. My family does not eat vegetarian either. Unlike your family, we don't use CFL light bulbs.
