MY Family Footprint

Many students using our footprint calculator said that they could not pledge to reduce their home footprints because they were not making the decisions for the household. Here is your chance to design your own sustainable virtual household!

If you had your own home, what would you do to make it more energy efficient? Where would you get your electricity from? Where would your house be? Would you live near to your school or work or local transit options? Where would you get your food from?

Keeping a low carbon footprint at home isn't hard. It's simple things like turning off the lights when you leave a room. You can also start looking at where your food comes from; try to start buying things from local farms.

I agree with you. Small stuff like turning off lights or taking shorter showers really makes a difference. In my house, I am going to make sure that we start doing these things

I also agree, another thing you can do is try to ride your bike more places if you have a  at that runs on fuel. This would be great for the environment because the fossil fuels coming from the car contributes to global warming.
