I think people could use a lot less energy by turning off all their lights, stoves, TVs, or anything that take up energy while on and turn it off while not using it. I would want to have my stuff be solar powered or hydro powered and not use fossil fuels. and I could also use a boosted board which would take less energy.
I agree with you, turning off lights when not being used would help because all the energy that goes into lights is a lot. Also having your things solar powered and hydro powered would help with not using fossil fuels, good idea!
