If you had your own home, what would you do to make it more energy efficient? Where would you get your electricity from? Where would your house be? Would you live near to your school or work or local transit options? Where would you get your food from?

My family footprint
If I had my own home, I would use solar energy as much as I can. I would also consider having a small wind turbine on either my roof or in my backyard. I would like to live near pubic transport that could tae me to my job, school etc. so I wouldn't have to take my own car. I would try to grow my fruits and vegetables locally, and maybe have a chicken coup in my backyard for eggs and meat. When I would go out, I would make sure that I take my bike. I believe that these would reduce my carbon footprint.
its a good idea that takes a lot of work and money up front but in the long run it would probably pay off so i hope you succeed but it would be hard to have all that and live near public transportation like a subway but maybe you would be near bus stops
