Many students using our footprint calculator said that they could not pledge to reduce their home footprints because they were not making the decisions for the household. Here is your chance to design your own sustainable virtual household!
If you had your own home, what would you do to make it more energy efficient? Where would you get your electricity from? Where would your house be? Would you live near to your school or work or local transit options? Where would you get your food from?

Cars
Why walk or ride a bike? When you have a car sitting in your drive way just drive that!
I completely agree. Cars are very fast and can save a lot of time and time is money. Cars can also be used to get to jobs far away that a bike or walking couldn't . People need jobs to feed there families which is very important.
Thankfully car companies are producing highly efficient cars that are practical, but still offer the same and sometimes better performance than older cars.
I ride my bicycle for exercise, so I don't ever have to look long for parking, because it's a great way to get thinking done, and because it's the greener thing to do. In my city, it is often the fastest way to get from A to B too.
