My Dream Sustainable House
My dream house would have many different types of energy saving technology. In the garage it would have two Tesla Powerwall batteries that would store the solar energy from the array of solar panels on the roof until it is needed. Every window would be double pained to help keep the house insulated. Two solar water heaters that would also use the energy from the panels to heat and cool my water. A wind generator that would provide the last bit of energy needed for the house to be run solely on renewable resources and allow it to not have to rely on power from a company. It would have a rainwater harvesting system to help conserve water. It would have an Energy Star HVAC that would heat and cool my house more efficiently. The majority of appliances would be Energy Star so that the house would run more efficiently. And last but not least it would have smart power strips in every room eliminating energy vampires. My dream house would be very efficient and save energy helping the environment and reducing my carbon footprint.
