My house will be about 10 minutes away from my school. This house has a lot of solar panels and will be next to a lake so I can pump lake water, clean it and use it for drinking and using for sinks and the refrigerator. The toilet will be using the gray water system. My car will be powered by hydrogen and the nearest gas station has a hydrogen pump. I will have a garden to get all my water from the waste water I use from my toilets, sink and refrigerator. My garden will produce all my vegetables and I will take my bike to the farmers market to buy meat, fruit, and dairy products. By the way I only use LED light bulbs and my garden has no GMO's and pesticides.
It good that you are going to save energy with solar panels. You will need a filter if you are going to use the lake as drinking water and everything else. It's good your car will be powered by hydrogen and its good you don't live that far from your school.
