In Attempts to Decrease My Footprint
If I had my own home I would make sure to use clean energy in our home. I would also install low-flow toilets and make sure to install lights that turn off automatically after a period of time. I would get my electricity from a source that uses natural energy such as solar panels or wind and water energy plants. I would make sure not to get energy created from burning fossil fuels or coal. My house would be located relatively close to these clean power plants and relatively close to an area in which I could use mostly public transportation to decrease my individual transportation emissions. I would live near my job so I would be able to walk or bike to my job from my home to further decrease my need to travel on gas. I would grow my own food in my garden or purchase it locally in attempts to decrease to amount of fossil fuels burnt when transporting the food. What would you do to decrease your footprint?
