Many students using our footprint calculator said that they could not pledge to reduce their home footprints because they were not making the decisions for the household. Here is your chance to design your own sustainable virtual household!
If you had your own home, what would you do to make it more energy efficient? Where would you get your electricity from? Where would your house be? Would you live near to your school or work or local transit options? Where would you get your food from?

Creating an Efficient Home
Regarding the question, I would make my home more energy efficient by using solar panels that cooperate with the sun to produce energy. My house will be in an open area so that I may have time away from screens that may conduct a lot of electricity, yet I would live near a school as I do now so if I may have to use I car it will be a short trip. To get my food I would go to locally owned shops and stores.
These are some great ways of improving home efficiency, I will definitely consider using these methods in my own home.
After discussing with my parents about the usage of solar panels. They have agreed to save up and get them. I am very excited and I think this will be a great way to improve our efficiency at home. I also have been carpooling with 5 others to get to school.
