A simple and easy way to reduce your family footprint is to sit down with your family and have a discussion about how to reduce it. You can talk about turning off the lights, turning off the water and using fewer electronics. These all sound small but in the end, these can have a big impact.
I completely agree, there is a term that I have heard before that goes something like this, "Baby steps count as long as you are going forward. You add them all up, and one day you look back and you'll be surprised at where you might get." - Chris Gardner. If we, as a family decide to make these small actions consistently, there will be a time, whether it is in one month or one year where we notice a big difference that we are making in our community. Many small things add up to one big thing, and many big things add up to miracles.
I completely agree. While it may be hard to change your whole lifestyle all of a sudden, it is easy to find little things to change that can easily make an impact. Even if you don't want to change anything right at this moment, if your parents need new lightbulbs, you can inform them on better, more environmentally friendly lightbulbs.
