It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Why its the 3R's
I think many of us get consumed by recycling as being the sole way of realizing sustainability, but there are 2 other R's for a reason. By reducing and reusing, we gain all the benefits that recycling offers and more. We not only completely avoid consuming and throwing away items, but we can repurpose them to be used to our personal benefit. I think more waste bins need to have a sign placed on top first asking "can you reduce or reuse this item now or next time?"
I agree with this post, because I feel like we should all just reuse somethings, like water bottles instead of just throwing it away, or just putting in the recycling bin. By reusing items, we also reduce the amount that we use, so reusing stuff could be a positive impact on our environment.

I agree as well. Yes, recycling paper is way better than throwing the paper in the trashcan, but recycling is really not the sole answer to creating/maintaining a green Earth. If that paper could be used to its maximum potential before being scrapped, and in the process saves other fresh, virgin paper from being used (and then scrapped), it will definitely be a great step on the pathway of going green. You are not only reusing the paper here, but also reducing paper usage by doing so. It's pretty great.
