Carbon Emission Caused By Transportation

Pat

My annual carbon emission data, 22736 kg, really amazed me at first glace because I always make personal decisions that would eventually produce less pollution. In fact, after closely examining my data, I found out that my carbon footprint on food consumption, and electricity don't exceed the national average at all. The main contributor is in fact my flights from China to the U.S.(62.8 percent). As an international student, I visit my family in Hangzhou about 4 times a year and I wish that we could invest more in technologies that ameliorate the efficiency of jet engine.
