What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food and hunger
Don’t waste food
I agree with this. Also instead of throwing your food away and putting it in the landfill, compost it. Also give food to others. Don't take for granted of the food that you have. Many people are suffering from hunger and starvation. Give to organizations and food banks to help others in need.

i Agree when you throw away you’re food it’s good to know where it’s going. In Seattle you are required to have a compost bin but in other states that’s not the case. It’s also good if I compost your self. If you take all the food you have for granted then some day you wont have a lot of food and you’ll have to eat nothing. This is why you should also box up the food you don’t eat and keep it for later
I think cities all across America should have a composting system like Seattle does. I don't know much about things like cost or cons but it helps reduce our carbon footprint. Also you can compost within your own homes by using compost to enrich soil for gardening. And by gardening, you are growing your own food which reduced our carbon footprint, yay.
YES! composting is so important
We should always try to not eat a lot!
