It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse and Recycle
To reuse and recycle, I always try to have cloth bags in the back of our car when we go grocery shopping. Also, I use metal straw so I don't have to use a plastic straw to drink! What do you do to reuse and recycle?
I also try to use cloth bags when shopping and reuse things I could easily recycle, such as glass jam jars.
Like lulu, I also re use glass jelly/jam jars for a lot of things. I drink water from them and I have one in my room to store extra pens and pencils. They are very versatile objects.
When I go grocery shopping I also use reusable bags for our grocery’s but we also have these mesh bags that’s we use to put our produce in. They are suppose to keep fruit fresh longer and are reusable.
Just like all of you said, I go grocery shopping with fabric bags, and if we forget, we will ask for paper bags then use them as recycling bags until they are unusable. When I am done with my cloths or they are to small for me, I hang them down to my sister, then to the neighbors and finally to the donation box by our house.
I’m going to use cloth bags and no straws
straws are still being used
I think we should use cloth bags, metal straws and water bottles. Use containers that you can re use instead of things like plastic bags. A lunch bag instead of a paper sack. Also things like fruit and vegetables that don’t come in plastic bags.
I too use only cloth bags when shopping and when we do rarely get a paper bag we use them to hold our recycling at home.
I also use reusable bags when I go to the store. In the long run, the amount of disposable bags we use really adds up, reusable bags are a great alternative. In addition, I try to always use a reusable water bottle at school.
In addition to what you said, something I always try to be careful with is what I pack my school lunches in. For example using plastic ziplock bags everyday for your food is a huge waste. Instead I try to use containers and reusable options! This way you are reducing your waste as well as your money because you won’t have to constantly be buying new bags.
In addition to what you said, something I always try to be careful with is what I pack my school lunches in. For example using plastic ziplock bags everyday for your food is a huge waste. According to plastic-pollution.org each year there is about 8 million tons of plastic that ends up in the ocean. Instead of adding to that number try something I do! I try to use containers and reusable options! This way you are reducing your waste as well as your money because you won’t have to constantly be buying new bags. https://plastic-pollution.org/
