Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

yea like tofu or the impossible burger (vegetarian patty made to taste exactly like beef)

But what will happen to the farms that do have cows? Will they be used only for dairy?

Im not sure completely getting rid of cows is the awnser meat is still a good food product but i agree that the scale that we are making red meat at is to much and we are useing too many resources to make them. I think that food products like meat shouldn't be transported around the world for example from brazil to the US and that we should eat meat that is locally grown because the impact on the climate is much less.

I really recommend tofu because it has roughly the same nutrients and benefits as meat but it is also really good. Just try it!
