All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

How long do we have?
Lately I’ve been hearing many different claims about how long we have until humans go extinct and I’m not sure what to believe.
Even if all the oxygen sources in the world were destroyed humans would still have about 10000 years before we all suffocated. But that’s just air, other factors could speed it up
Unfortunately, climate change could reach emergency levels by 2040
We are close by 2040
Climate change may destroy humanity before our generation dies of old age
We don't have an exact date as to the end of all of us but at the rate we are living at, we can definitely say that it will come soon if we don't do something about it.
We can't really predict when the humanity will be destroy but we can acte to protect it . Our generation is the one who have to change our world into a better one. We have to stop thinking of what will happen in futur and acte now!!!
I'm glad SOMEONE brought this matter up, and I think that the human race doesn't have that long. My math teacher was telling the class that he was rather worried about how long the human race would have, having a 3 year-old son and all, so he did some digging. He eventually found the thing that would kill humans in a matter of decades if not really taken care of; drinking water. Surprised as I was? As it turns out, only 2.8% of water on Earth is freshwater, and only 31% of that amount of water is drinkable, leaving the entire human race with only 0.00775% of Earth's water being drinkable, rounding up to less than 1% of water on the planet being drinkable. This is only the first bad part of this huge problem, because up until now, this has not been a problem, but without population control, it will be double. My math teacher also said that in around 50 years, the entire world's population would double, resulting in a total of 15 Billion people to give water. The average human needs 1/2 Gallon of water per day, and that puts us at 7.5 Billion gallons of water per day to hardly satisfy the planet. We need world hunger to stop, but we should really be thinking about world thirst!
All this will happen if we don't do anything for it . What your math teacher told you might be truth, but in her calculation she didn't put that human are starting more and more to acte . We can't actually calculate the futur but we can acte for it .
Everyone have to stop thinking so much about futur because all this time you loose to complain you could use it to acte to clean the ocean or something else . The world will not change by it self, We have to change it .
don't let our future go up in smoke
There are a lot of different rumours and claims about how long humans are going to survive on Earth... Do you have any idea of what could be true and how long we can still live on our planet?? Thanks... ![]()
