Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Can i make a difference?

TeslaPGV

Ofcourse we are all trying to save our planet and care about it the best we can but the reason I consider most people simply don't care or they have given up on our planet and reducing their own CO2 emissions is the difference they are going to make. I myself question why I should reduce the CO2 output of my home, car and changing food habits (essentially turning my life around) when it will make a difference of 1 ton of CO2 a year (at most) and thats what factories make in less than a second. Some say it helps so i will try my best to help the environment, but the things that should be done include regulations for big companies and some countries like the USA that don't want to accept the regulations. If they don't accept they should have consecuences enforced by the United Nations.

Interesting article about USA CO2 emissions. (6.5 billion metric tons a year)
