Reuse & Repurpose

It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Lower waste by reusing and repurposing

slukose

Climate change is the greatest problem facing humanity and we need to find ways to lower our carbon footprint. By reusing and repurposing, supply demands for these products are decreasing, and there’s an overall cut-down of waste. While it seems easy to throw out things you no longer want, you can find a way to donate it or give it to someone else who can find a use for it. We need to change our daily habits if we want a greener future for future generations.

recycling is the correct way to reduce a carbon footprint and to re-purpose used water and that'll really help the carbon footprint

In regards to plastic bottles, many people use plastic today all over the world. According to HealthyHumanLife.com, around 1,000 people in America open a bottle of water per second. The U.S. also throws away around 35 billion water bottles a year, and 80% of those bottles end up in the landfill, even if they are recyclable. These high amounts of waster contribute greatly to fossil fuels being released which is one major factor of global warming. People are often blind to the effect this waste can have on our planet. People often do not care what happens to their bottle after they throw it away. The main problem we need to resolve is the use of plastic bottles. We need to educate people more about the harmful effects of these bottles. In my experience, the more I learned about the harmful effects of plastic bottles, the more it inspired me to use my own reusable cup. I think the key is to educate people more, so they can really understand the effects this harmful plastic can have on our earth.
