All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!
Now It's Time for Action >
Cleaning the ocean
We have to start NOW!!! at this moment do change and clean the oceans. There are a lot of oceans that are full of plastic and other kinds of briefs. Like in Bali are the beaches full whit thinks in it. People are producing millions of plastic bottles a day. So we have to change the wold now!!!!!
im am really with you on this subject if we dont start now it might be too late.
Yes, I completely agree. I think many oceans are full of plastics and other toxins. One example of this is the North Atlantic Garbage Patch. The patch is the size of Texas, and in one tow of the net, they picked up over 1,000 pieces of garbage. Many items in the patch are pieces of Plastic Bottles and Bags that have broken down but are still floating around in the water. The patch is so big now that some think it is irreversible to contain or try and get rid of. This patch is just the largest of many like it that are continuing to pollute the planet.

@Elli12, I agree with you in the fact that we must act now and clean the oceans. As National Geographic described in their article, "We Made Plastic. We Depend on It. Now We’re Drowning in It." Laura Parker explains that of the 6.9 billion tons of waste humans create, of that waste only 0.6 billion tons are recycled. The oceans are becoming a trash dump for the 6.3 billion tons of waste we do not recycle. If we hope to save the world we need to do everything we can, from beach cleanups, to reusing and recycling. Also, many people fail to realize how much plastic is in the ocean closest to them. However, even if your beach has clear water, there are still hundreds, or even thousands of microplastics floating all around you. Microplastics small pieces of plastic that have been broken down over time. No matter where you are the plastic clean affect everyone.

Yes, I agree with you guys on this. There are so many places in the ocean that have billions of pieces of trash just laying on the surface and most people don't do anything about it. Trash is hurting many many animals in and out of the ocean. This constant build up of trash is polluting our plant.
I agree as well, plastic is very harmful to animals and there is a lot of it on the oceans.
