That is a great point, and it is one of the biggest problems when it comes to putting an end to climate change. There are a few issues with regards to politics and climate change. To elaborate, according to Johann Dupuis of the United Nations University, one main problem in politics is that politicians rarely mention adaptation to climate change. Without even a mention of taking action, how can the political world help impede climate change? In addition, Dupuis also mentions the effect of having left-wing and right-wing parties, which each have vastly different views, goals, and ambitions when it comes to the topic of climate change. Overall, if we want to do something about the politicians that choose to ignore the issues of climate change, it is important to take action yourself. Write a letter to your local government, or even to the national government. Without action, the public's opinions and knowledge are useless, so it is crucial to take a stand in this crisis.
