Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

the amount of plastic used now a days is very terrifiyng because a lot of it ends in the ocean and then kills the animals because they eat it

This is absolutely true. There are some simple solutions such as recycling when possible. Often people do not take the time to sort what can and cannot be recycled, instead throwing recyclable materials into the trash. However sometimes no recyclable materials are put in recycling making it more difficult for the machines to do their job. there is also an overage of plastic in the packing industry. often foods in stores and things that get shipped across world get wrapped up in plastics to keep them safe. however there are alternatives noe and better ones being created. (To read more go to https://www.ennomotive.com/eco-friendly … packaging/ ). At my school our cafeteria has stopped using plastic utensils in an effort to reduce our waste. insted we use wooden forks, spoons and knives. altho these alternatives are to as easy as plastic they are much better for the environment.
