Energy and Food
When I was inputting my values for the carbon footprint calculator on this website, I noticed that food contributed the most to my carbon values, asides from travel. I then changed the amount of eggs per week that I ate in the calculator, and noticed that when I increased the egg amount, my carbon footprint increased dramatically. I then decided to look further into how food impacts the environment, and how much food I can have in my diet and still live a sustainable lifestyle for my health and the world. It turns out, that if you have no consideration for how much you change your diet, you can reduce the energy usage in food by 74%. Fossil Fuels in an American Diet
