Reusable Bags
Plastic bags are overused around the world because they are cheap and can be disposed of without second thought. According to Biological Diversity's website, Americans alone use 100 billion plastic bags a year. These single use bags take resources to make as well as trash the planet when they are disposed of. Much of this plastic ends up in the ocean and landfills. To help solve this problem, we need to spend a little more money on the original purchase of reusable bags. Although it costs more in the beginning, it will save money in the long term as well as reduce the number of single use plastics being dumped into landfills and nature.
