Reuse & Repurpose

It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Share your ideas for extending the “lives” of the items that we buy and use, and their packaging as well!

Recycling in your Garden

Torrey

I am always looking for new and innovative ways to recycle. One of the least thought of places to recycle are in a garden, because garden's are already naturally eco-friendly. Some of my favorite ideas for recycling are: 1. Using old bathtubs, large sinks or buckets as a holder for a small pond in your garden. 2. Using old wood or pallets to construct compost bins, or other necassary garden utilities instead of throwing them away. 3. Putting old windows around delicate plants to protect them from harsh weather and frost, while still allowing them to take in sunlight. Lastly, 4. While this isn't directly recycling, it is still a good idea; Create your own compost using worms. Compost is essential in growing most all plants, and created your own compost cuts out a middle man using resources to package and sell compost. I hope you learned some new recycling methods. Some of my ideas came from: https://www.growveg.com/guides/10-ways- … le-garden/ - An article written by Jeremy Dore
