Growing Your Own Food
Growing your own food can be beneficial to the environment. Transporting fruits and vegetables from all across the world can have a huge impact on the environment. they would have to travel from the farm to either an airport or shipping dock. then that airplane or ship would travel across the world causing loads of emotions all by themselves. however there are more benefits to growing your own food than just lowering travel emissions. According to the University of New Hampshire, food grown at home has more nutrients. Food that comes from a distance is not as fresh as home grown and therefore loses some of its nutritional value. growing your own food could also be a fun activity for a family or neighborhood. I have fond memories from my younger years of planting carrots and tomatoes with my dad and watching as they grew.
