It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse & Repurpose
To reuse and repurpose you can buy recyclable containers like mason jars or plastic that can be used more than once like Tupperware. You could also start a composter in your yard to put food scraps and other compostable items then reuse the compost to garden with. Also Instead of using plastic water bottles, you can buy a reusable water bottle that can last years. These also help reduce plastic waste into the environment. If you store things to make sure you store them correctly because that can make things last much longer than if you just left them out. Another way to reduce is to turn lights off when you aren't using them or turning off the heat if you don't need it. One simple one that can be hard is just putting trash in the right bins if everyone did this there would be a lot more recycling and compost. Using rechargeable items and batteries also help reduce waste.
