It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse and Repurpose
Many things can be changed that we do daily to help the environment by reusing things. For example, a very common way to help the environment is owning reusable bags when you shop. Reusable bags save the use of plastic bags so your carbon footprint will decrease. While shopping you should also be aware of what you are buying also, thrifting is positive for the world because it is the reuse of clothing instead of new clothing always being produced.

In addition to using bags when shopping, it's also good for the environment to bring in your own tupperware when going out to eat instead of using the plastic to-go packaging that a lot of restaurants use. Also, I agree with your statement that thrifting is an efficient way to reuse, because fast-fashion brands are large contributors to the overwhelming amount of clothing found in dumps or landfills. The clothes made by those brands are also made up mostly of synthetics, which are not long lasting, so it forces the customer to buy more products.
