Climate change has always been a big problem and a way to lower our carbon footprint is to reuse and repurpose. According to www.epa.gov, some benefits of reusing and reducing are that it prevents the pollution caused by reducing the need to harvest raw material, it saves energy, it reduces greenhouse emissions that contribute to climate change and saves money. Throwing away items you don’t need seems easier than reusing or repurposing them and that most likely the reason most of us just throw stuff out. If you don’t have a use for an item you could donate it and maybe someone else could find a use for it.

About the initiative to reduce waste and consume responsibly, it seems to me a great idea that all people should implement in all aspects of their lives because it is what most affects the soil and the sea, and there´s where all of our waste ends. I believe that it is also very important that companies produce responsibly and with greater interest in the environment and future generations. Like business owners who care more about the practicality and speed of materials that remain on Earth for many years.
