What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food Consumption
There are around 8 billion people on this Earth, and as time goes by the population will undoubtedly get larger and larger. With the rising population, Earth gets more and more unstable. With a high demand of food, it is unfortunate to see so much of that food to go to waste. It is sad seeing that in some places around the world, people are starving when others have access to a grocery store with an abundance of food. Especially with Covid-19, people have been buying more than what they need, while others don’t have the necessities to stay clean and safe. I think that we as humans, need to step up and be more wise when purchasing food. We need to be more conscious about how much food that we buy goes to waste, when there are people who are less privileged then some.
