What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food and Hunger
To produce 1kg of meet, we need 150 000 liter of water that huge. We need to reconsider our style of life in particulary how we eat. We have to realize the impact that represent to the furure.
The fact that we wast 40% of food show that we can/need make something about it.
We must favour local and organic food, reduce meet consumption because according to the FAO livestock farming is said to be responsible for 18% of greenhouse gas emissions (more than transportation) and 8% of global water consumption. Limiting the pollution linked to its diet therefore requires a reduction in its meat consumption and a better alimentation.
i agree with that, i think eat insects, local and organic food is the future because in 2050 we will indeed be 9 bilions of humains. according to FAO insects are essential in the fight against hunger and Co2 emissions. Remember that between 1967 and 2010, the consumption of animal proteins increased by 87% in the world.
insects do not emit many greenhouse gases and require little water and space. We can therefore raise them in a much more ecological way than cattle. moreover, insects are a great source of protein and therefore contribute to a better alimentation.
