There are a lot of items that people tend to throw away when they could be reused for many different purposes. People should start trying to buy reusable products as well. For example, my family uses metal water bottles instead of plastic ones and cloth bags instead of plastic ones. Also, when we find really old clothes that can’t be worn anymore, we repurpose them as rags that we use to clean things around the house. Another thing people should try doing is buying used clothes and donating old clothes to charities. By doing this instead of buying new clothes all the time, a person could probably reduce their carbon footprint by a significant amount.
