It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Re-using/Re-purposing
You can just re-use your plastic bags to reduce the amount of plastic in the ocean, which is kind of like a plastic stew at this point. You could also re-purpose some of your old things and give them to someone else, it would be better to give it to someone who would appreciate it the most, so that they would use and re-use it, an example could be giving it to a homeless person, or selling it to a thrift store or goodwill, as then someone that likes it would pick it out and use it more.
