What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Organic Food
We should switch to buying organic food because it is better for the environment. Organic farms reduce pollution by not using chemicals, increase the soil fertility because of this and use less energy. This all impacts our environment in a positive way and I believe that we should start buying for organic food.
I agree with you, organic food should be produced and bought more because organic farming is better for the environment and fresher because organic farmers grow the fruits grow with natural fertilizers (manure, compost), basically they grow it naturally by not using anything that'll hurt the growth of the food which impacts a better environment. I would say the only limitation is the price because they raise it a little more than non-organic products because of the way the organic product had been raised.
