My family and I try to wash restaurant/take-out containers and use it to store food in our fridge & pantry and we try to avoid throwing away that packaging. We also reuse plastic grocery store bags for lining our trash cans and we also have organized sections of bags to use in the future. Reusing and repurposing definitely requires a significant amount of effort but everyone should do what they can. I’ve heard that it is better when loads of people are practicing something imperfectly (re-using & repurposing) as opposed to having a small group practicing something perfectly. To avoid getting rid of clothes too quickly; mend old clothing and if you can afford it/can’t mend - pay for it to get fixed, this is an investment. Obviously old clothes can also be used as reusable rags, or as clothing for specific situations (painting, or other messy situations).
