It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Fast Fashion
Fast fashion has many drawbacks, including exploitation of foreign labor and treatment of workers, but I want to discuss it's role in throw away culture. Fast fashion has made clothes cheap and accessible for many but has done so by manufacturing a need for excess in many countries. For example, it has made launches and releases of new clothes drop just hours after more expensive retailers drop their new designs. Not only is the production of these clothes wasteful in terms of water use but it has also raised the average throw-away stats in places such as the UK and America. The clothes are then taken to land fills and the cheap fabric usually leaves the pieces and useless cloth. Buying second hand or investing money in sustainable brands are a great alternative.
