Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Bike more & Drive less

Bike more and drive less! An advantage for riding your bike can be getting a workout and utilizing your muscle power. All while helping the environment. For whatever reason, if you cannot bike to work/school, take public transportation since it allows fewer vehicles on the road, which lowers the amount of pollution entering the air at once.

I agree with you,Walking or cycling to work not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but also increases exercise and makes us healthier

Yes! This exactly! I'd like to add some real life results as well. In Japan, people mainly use bikes as a method of transportation, and their average carbon footprint was around 6000 kgs, despite their large urban cities. Biking, or electric cars is the way to go, and these options are definitely becoming more available to us, so it's about time we started using them.
