The three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) can greatly decrease the amount of greenhouse gasses let out into our atmosphere. Following the three R’s not only benefits the environment, but also benefits you. Reducing the amount of plastic you buy that eventually ends up as waste will save you money and reduce the demand for plastic will decrease its production. Reusing waste or plastic reduces the need to harvest new material which can also greatly reduce pollution. It also saves energy and money, and allows products to be used to their fullest extent. Like reusing, recycling will reduce the need to harvest material which will have the same effects as above.
