Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

Time to take action

Many people litter once and say "oh its no big deal" but now we realize that if every one does it it becomes a very big deal. If you can reuse something instead of throwing it away, then reuse it. Save the environment. REUSE AND Recycle!!!

Yes. Everyone has the mindset "Oh it's just me" and when almost everyone thinks this way, it's very destructive to our earth.

Why yes I also happen to have a similar stance on this topic. Reuse and recycle.

@TaylorC_4233 I think this points out how easy it is to litter instead of finding a proper way to dispose of your waste. Seeing people throw trash out the window or leave it behind impacts our environment in ways that are unforeseeable in that moment. Microplastics are an example of how the degradation of plastic in our ocean is starting to affect humans, (The fish we eat are full of it). Stuff to think about as we consider leaving our trash in a place it shouldn't be!

@ConnorC10 I agree with you. It is much easier to litter and throw away your trash than properly dispose of it. I think people need to properly think about what will happen to the garbage they are throwing out. People "I'm just doing it once, it won't hurt" but when everyone thinks that way it does make a difference. As you said, because of the people who are littering humans are consuming micro-plastics. People have to start thinking bout how what they do will affect the whole world. Although some people may think its easier to just litter, once you get used properly disposing your trash you'll feel like a much better person. Even though you are only doing small things you make a difference.
