It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

I think that there is a much better way than just throwing something away or dropping it in a recycling bin when we are done with it. There are many things that we can reuse without us even knowing it. I think that it will be much better if each one of us uses something again when we are done than throwing it away. For example a box, we could use it to package something else that we won't need for a while and put it away. I think we should all try to reuse at least one thing in a week.
Yes Yes Yes! Things like packaging take a lot of time, resources, and water to both make/meltdown. The plastic bags that we use during our day-to-day life can take as much as 1000 years to decompose, and depending on the environmental conditions, styrofoam can take millions of years to become one with the earth again. Personally, my family doesn't throw away plastic grocery bags at first, but we reuse them to line our trash cans before we throw them away. There are also some types of arts and crafts that you can make with spare plastics at home!

i accidently posted what i was writing but let me continue. I was saying i totally agree, people throw things away way too quickly, for example plastic bottles. these should be something that you reuse for a long time, there is no need to be buying so many bottled waters so often. Another big polluter is the clothing industry, they are constantly burning fossil fuels to keep their factories running, which is being released into the atmosphere and warming our earth. We all need to start wearing are siblings old clothes, buying from thrift and consignment stores. constantly buying from fast fashion companies only makes them more money to continue mass producing clothing, which is polluting the atmosphere.
