What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food and Hunger
What I learned from this article is that there are lots of people who don't get enough food. About 925 million to be exact.I learned this according to Fao.
What are some ways to mitigate this issue worldwide, and what are some of the root causes of this issue.
Some underlying causes are poverty, unemployment/under-employment and inconsistent access to enough healthy food (food deserts) which are often deeply interconnected. One solution is reducing food waste. Roughly 40% of the food produced in the US never get eaten which is about 365 million pounds of food each day that is wasted and also contributes to climate change.
There should be more food banks set up to help those who are hungry.
I feel horrible for the people who do not get enough food. We shouldn't take our food for granted and help the people who need it most. People need help especially due to the pandemic, can't get it because they might not have enough money for even a tiny mask. I think it is very important that we help the people who need food and water more than we do.
I think we have to help them, because they are realy poor and they depend on our support.
It is crazy that 1 in 7 inhabitants do not have enough to eat. I agree with Milo that we should set up more food banks across the world.
it's crazy how many people don't eat and starve to health due to not eating I think it would be very important if we did set up food banks across the world. Also, I think it is important that restaurants would give the leftover food to people in need and not just through the food away.
In instances where the corrupt government neglects the hunger of its people, and selfishly retains the goods other nations donate. We totally should do something about it!!! Do you propose anything that we can do to prevent this?
