Reusing items before throwing them away is the best way to get the use out of that item.Also we would be buying less of that item which would help the environment.

I agree, most items we just throw away can be reused in many ways. I think that if people just thought of potential of reusing some items before tossing them out, there could be a lot more waste saved.

I definitely agree with what you saying. It is smart to reuse and not only does it reduce your carbon footprint but it also saves money. It would be better to give something another use instead of throwing it away in the trash.

It is easier said than done. Most of the people will still throw things out even if they know it could have multiple use. Why ? Because they've lost the connection we once had with objects, places and even food. Most don't see the true value of things because it has been replaced by the biggest convention to ever exist : money. It blinded all society, made us all think that the exchanges between customers and producers have now become "easier"but the reality of it isn't that great. In fact it only turned us into little consumers that cannot live without spending and wasting. We're living in a rather developed world, access to information had never been this easier yet some still turn a blind eye on environmental issues. To re-use something would be going against the dogmas of our capitalistic society that is based on the very concept of "one time use". Everything we buy is made so that it's lifespan remains long enough to temporarily satisfy the customer yet short enough to make it shut down right before the companies sell another series of it.
Like I said before everyone is aware of environmental issues yet very few of us are doing something. We are aware of our situation, of the problem and we even have the solution. Then what are we missing you might ask ? Our logic. We know yet we do nothing because the root of capitalism grew so deep in our society that we'd rather choose our belongings than saving the planet.
