Planning Your Travel

Travel and accommodations (lodging and meals) are not included in the course fee. Each participant is responsible for identifying, securing and paying for their accommodations.

Air & Ground Travel

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is an hour south of campus and you can connect directly to the University and nearby hotels by riding the Sound Transit light rail. Lyft and Uber also operate ride-share transportation in the greater Seattle area.

Lodging

A number of hotels in the University area are within a 20-minute walk of the course site. Course participants are also eligible to rent University dorm rooms, available in single- and double-occupancy (wi-fi included). Wherever you choose to stay, August in Seattle is a popular time for visitors, so be sure to book your travel arrangements as soon as your plans are confirmed.

Disability Accommodations

To request disability accommodation, contact the Disability Services Office at 206-543-6450 (voice), 206-543-6452 (TTY), 206-685-7264 (fax), or dso@u.washington.edu at least 10 days prior to the start of the course.
