UW Autism Center Stepping Stones Program – 1/19

Quarterly workshops for parents of young children newly diagnosed with autism. The purpose of the Stepping Stones Program is to help parents and other caregivers get a quick start on learning skills and strategies for understanding, teaching, and having fun with their child. Workshops are conducted in small groups and are designed for parents of children age 5 and under who are either non-verbal or have emerging communication skills.Our autism experts provide tips and activities to help you:

  • Understand how autism does – and doesn’t – impact your child’s behavior
  • Have more fun playing with your child
  • Improve your child’s social communication skills
  • Identify practical goals and measure your child’sprogress

The next workshop will be held at the UW Autism Center on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 12:30-5:00 pm. Light snacks will be provided and parking is free.The cost for the workshop is $100 per family (for up to two family members).Space is limited and advance registration is required.
