Presenter:

Dr. Ronald Sakaguchi is a Professor and Academic Director in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU, Portland, OR) where he teaches courses in innovation, critical thinking, and strategy. Previously, he was the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at the School of Dentistry at OHSU. In addition to the courses he directs, he leads seminars in time management and strategic planning. Dr. Sakaguchi’s research has been funded continuously by NIH since 1992. He has also received funding from industry and foundations. He has published two textbooks, over 50 scientific articles, over 65 abstracts and has presented at many scientific conferences and clinical study clubs. He was the editor for North American submissions to an international journal in materials science for 13 years. He served on scientific review panels for the NIH for over 15 years. Dr. Sakaguchi was awarded “Teacher of the Year” for five consecutive years and has received ! several other teaching and service awards.
