Are you frustrated about drug and alcohol use, youth violence and suicide impacting our communities? Did you know that through community empowerment, coalition building, and advocacy through policy change, social workers have played a critical role in prevention?  If any of this sounds interesting to you, please come to our information session.

Certificate Program in Prevention Science

In this program, students will learn about:

* Necessity of primary prevention in social work

* Community based prevention strategies and program sustainability at the community and policy levels

* How to apply specific prevention strategies at the community and policy levels

This program is open to all Advanced level MSW students in any concentration.

This program offers a stipend of $750/year for students accepted into the program.
