Description : Are you an adult sibling trying to figure out what to do and where to start in your role supporting a brother or sister with intellectual and developmental disabilities? Some adult sibs are seasoned in navigating the Developmental Disabilities (DD) system while some are just like new parents who are overwhelmed. Are you a professional or student who wants to become more familiar with the system in order to better connect your clients to available resources? All are welcome to this informational presentation on both the aging and disability system and how their intersectionality impacts family caregivers in the community.
