Pathways in Education panel – 1/15/14, 5:30-7:30

 

Pathways

Are you interested in learning to be a leader in your community to promote access, equity and opportunity for all children and for our state’s future?  Specifically, are you interested in pursuing a career as a teacher, at an education non-profit or in education policy?

If so, this event is for you!  The Career Center is partnering with the College of Education, Dream Project, the Pipeline Project and Teach For America to co-sponsor a panel highlighting various pathways in the education field.

Leadership in Education: Expanding Access, Equity & Opportunity in our Community

Wednesday, January 15th

5:30-7:30pm, Seattle campus Career Center (134 Mary Gates Hall)

Whether you’re a senior looking for post-graduation opportunities or an underclassman interested in hands-on service learning opportunities in classrooms, policy studies or simply learning more about careers in education; this panel will offer insights, resources and valuable connections.

Participating panelists include City Year, the College of Education (Teacher Education Program and other Master’s/PhD programs), Seattle Teacher Residency and Teach For America participants. 

Free pizza provided.  No RSVP or pre-registration is necessary. Space available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
