Camp Colman is located on the Key Peninsula in the Puget Sound, 30 minutes from Gig Harbor and about an hour and a half from downtown Seattle. Colman offers over one hundred acres of forest, a half mile of beachfront, and a 6 acre lagoon for boating. While at camp groups have access to a climbing wall, high and low ropes course, marine education touch tank, organic garden along with many other activities facilitated by our instructors.
Job Description: YMCA Camp Colman is searching for fun, energetic, outgoing, responsible individuals seeking weekend job opportunities. We are looking to hire 8 qualified candidates as Conference & Retreat Program Staff by the end of the month of February. Work along with a team of instructors to create a welcoming environment for weekend conference and retreat groups. Facilitate existing program areas as well as using your unique background to create new activities to offer our guests. Socialize with parents, chaperones, kids, and group leaders to ensure a great Colman experience. Room and Board is provided on weekends.
Requirements: Minimum age 19. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, be on feet for several hours at a time, have excellent people skills, work well with a team, and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Camp experience preferred. Reliable transportation is a must.
