JIMMY P. Screening in Seattle, Story of a Native American Veteran – April 11 & 12th

On behalf of Longhouse Media and Red Eagle Soaring  we welcome you to our upcoming screening of JIMMY P. as a part of our Indigenous Showcase during the month of April.

Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian, is a story of a Native American Veteran suffering from a series of psychological issues develops a deeply powerful friendship with his progressive French psychoanalyst as they discover and attempt to understand the source of his illness.

Given the film’s topic and character story, we felt this event spoke to the community in the Social Work offices. There will also be talk back opportunities following the screenings.

We will be presenting these films on two dates and four screenings total: Friday April 11th 6:00pm & 9:00pm and Saturday April 12th 6:00pm & 9:00pm at the Northwest Film Forum in Capitol Hill, Seattle.  Tickets and information available: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/610294

Saturday evening we will have the honor of hosting actress, Misty Upham, a member of the Blackfeet Tribe and actress in JIMMY P. She is also a proud graduate of Red Eagle Soaring, a native youth theater company based out of Seattle and also our co-hosts for this event!

Saturday will provide a reception before the 6pm show and a special fundraising event for Red Eagle Soaring.

If you’d like to arrange group tickets, please feel free to contact melissa@longhousemedia.org. She’s gladly accepting any other questions as well!
